Ondřej Lánský, Ph.D.
Ondřej Lánský has systematically dealt with several topics at the intersection of political theory, social theory, and political sociology. First, he develops analyses of political thought with an emphasis on the theories of elites and oligarchy. It focuses on analyses of oligarchic and plutocratic structures of modern society concerning the analysis of these topics in the Czech context. Secondly, he deals with the concept of resilience in political theory. He is Head of the Department of Political Philosophy and Globalization Research at the Institute of Philosophy of the CAS. He is also involved in the activities of the National Institute for Socio-Economic Research on the Impact of Diseases and Systemic Risks (SYRI). He lectures at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. In 2017, he was a Fulbright Research Scholar at Rutgers University, New Jersey (USA).
