Albert Kasanda, PhD.

 

Albert Kasanda is Senior Researcher at the Department of Political Philosophy of the Institute of Philosophy at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. He is also a Senior Researcher in the ERC-funded project based at the University of Bayreuth, named "Philosophy and Genre: Creating a Textual Basis for African Philosophy" (2020-2025). He is member of the board of editors of Ueberweg series on the History of African Philosophy at Hildesheim University (Germany). Kasanda is also member of the Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence of the University of Bayreuth. Kasanda’s expertise expans areas of intercultural and comparative philosophy, Decolonization’s theories, African political philosophy, and Latin American philosophy. His current research focuses on African political philosophy, African civil society, intercultural philosophy, decolonization, and genre.
